Gendering Documentation. A Manual For and About Women Human Rights Defenders
This manual for women human rights defenders (WHRDs) provides a unique tool for capturing the specific nature of violations against WHRDs. The discussions are grounded in a gender analysis that both challenges the social systems that restrict women’s rights, and also supports those who fight for those rights all over the world. The chapters of this manual cover what documentation is, how to document and why it is important to document experiences of WHRDs. This manual also provides a practical tool for documenting violations against women human rights defenders and outlines different uses of documentation, including various advocacy methods.
