Decrypting Encryption is a series of short animations that focus on the encryption/decryption tool GNU Privacy Guard (GPG).
Its first episode, Privacy Please!, covers the basics of GPG, such as what is does, what it does not help with, and why it might be useful.
The second episode of the series, The Key Concept, takes a more detailed look at how GPG key pairs work.
The final third episode, Show Me Your Private Bytes, explains concepts like ‘symmetric’ and ‘asymmetric’ encryption. It also looks at how you can verify the identity of the person you are writing to.
